The Loki Mk II controller is still widely used inside agencies and will be passed down to local agencies when they are deemed obsolete. The controller video output is a 3.5mm composite video connection so sharing video with other members is very difficult. This convertor was tested with multiple Federal and local agencies to provide a compact carry solution to share via Teradek Prism Mobile.
By using the preexisting bolt pattern from the Anton Bauer battery mount, I was able to create a slim and self contained unit converting the legacy video output from the Loki controller to a useable, shareable video stream.
Problem: Drone controller video outputs only composite video while encoder used HDMI or SDI input. All convertor solutions were bulky and failed to stay connected when moved or carried.
Solution: Create custom solution which reduces bulkiness and maintains connection while moved or carried.
